The three-scratch ritual
Curiosity does the teaching.
No forcing and no wrestling. Start small, reward generously and let their paws lead the way.
Let curiosity lead
Give them space to sniff, reach and bat through the playful openings.
Celebrate the scratch
Reward every calm interaction and finish while the game still feels fun.
Good questions. Honest answers.
Before the first pounce.
Will it completely replace nail trims?
It supports gradual front-claw maintenance, but every cat is different. Hind claws, dewclaws and longer nails may still need separate care from a groomer or veterinarian.
How should I introduce it?
Begin with a few favorite treats and let your cat investigate voluntarily. Keep early sessions short, calm and supervised—never place or hold their paw against the surface.
Which claws does it help with?
The reaching and scratching motion mainly engages the front claws. Check nail length and paw pads regularly so you can stop at the right time.
Is it suitable for every cat?
It is designed as supervised enrichment. Inspect it before each use and discontinue if damaged or if your cat shows stress, irritation or discomfort.
